There are fresh concerns for the health of rock legend Meat Loaf after he fell ill and was unable to appear on a UK TV show following a bizarre backstage performance.
The 64-year-old musician became unwell moments before his interview on Loose Women and was dropped from the show, despite being seen joking in the green room with a banana on his head moments earlier.
Host Andrea Mclean told viewers, "A little bit of sad news — I'm afraid Meat Loaf has taken unwell so he's unable to join us for the end of the show.
"Meat Loaf, I hope you feel better soon," she added.
The latest scare will worry his millions of fans after he passed out at two concerts in July last year, blaming a lack of oxygen aggravating his asthma.
He later denied that his condition was serious but vowed to die on stage.
"You know, I take the stage as if it's the last thing I'm ever going to do and that's how I perform every night. It's probably taught me to slow down a little bit,” he said.
"I go out on the stage as if it's the last thing I'll ever do. And that's what I've always said — if I'm going out, I'm going out on stage."
