Avatar director James Cameron is in New Zealand to visit his new property.
Cameron bought more than 1000 hectares of land in south Wairarapa for about $20 million last February.
Cameron told the Dominion Post that he arrived in Wellington on Friday and it is understood he dined last night with four others at luxury lodge Wharekauhau Country Estate, just down the road from his property.
He is expected to return to New Zealand later this year to start work on two sequels to Avatar with Wellington's Weta Digital studio, Fairfax media reported.
