Popular comedy series 30 Rock is to end after seven series.
The Tina Fey-created show, which stars Alec Baldwin and Tracy Morgan, was recently given the green light for another 13 episodes, but NBC has confirmed speculation that they will be the show’s last.
The US television network still hopes to work with Tina, who loosely based the show on her experiences working on Saturday Night Live, on future projects.
30 Rock will finish with a special hour-long season finale.
The news comes after Alec — who plays television executive Jack Donaghyin in 30 Rock — recently hinted he was set to leave the NBC comedy when he became annoyed that NBC sent a news crew to his apartment after court proceedings revealed he had accused a Canadian actress of stalking him .
