Lady Gaga has been forced to cancel her forthcoming sold-out show in Indonesia due to intense pressure from religious and political hardliners in the country.
The pop star has been criticised in the country for her raunchy dance moves and skimpy clothing and now the permit for her sold-out show has been revoked.
The gig was set to be the biggest of her Asian tour with 52,000 Indonesians set to pack out Jakarta’s Gelora Bung Karno stadium.
Police have cancelled the concert because they cannot guarantee the singer’s safety in the country. It is not known whether the tickets purchased will be refunded.
Lady Gaga's Asian tour started late last month with many converts being sold out.
