Miranda Kerr has broken down in tears after she was named Australia's most stylish woman at an awards ceremony in Sydney.
The 29-year-old Victoria's Secret model let out an embarrassed laugh, before launching into her slightly stilted speech to accept Instyle magazine and Audi Women of Style Awards' Readers' Choice Award.
"I'm a little blown away, that was quite unexpected," she says waving her hand in front of her face before reaching up to brush away tears.
Kerr thanks media personality Sally Obermeder, who is currently battling breast cancer, for presenting her award, but then becomes too choked up to speak.
"Um, sorry!" Kerr says, dabbing at her eyes and letting out another quick giggle.
Luckily the model, who has a son with husband Orlando Bloom, quickly composes herself and manages to finish her speech strongly.
"I just want to say that it's just really wonderful to be in this room full of all of you incredibly inspiring women,
"I'm all about empowering women and I'm doing my best to do that," she says.
Logie award-winning actress Asher Keddie beat Bridesmaids star Rose Byrne and singer Natalie Imbruglia for the News and Entertainment category, while Pamela Easton and Lydie Pearson of Easton Pearson won the Fashion award.
Former Home & Away and All Saints actress Alyssa McClelland received a $10,000 InStyle and Audi Style Scholarship, to help with her dream of being a director.
