Cynthia Nixon and partner Christine Marinoni tied the knot in New York on Sunday.
The 46-year-old star's rep issued a statement to People magazine, saying the pair "were legally married in the state of New York" on May 27.
The rep also included a detail many Sex and the City fashion-lovers would love to know: "Nixon wore a custom dress by Carolina Herrera".
The pair were engaged for three years, and started dating back in 2004. Their home state of New York legalised same-sex marriage in June last year.
They have a 15-month-old son, Max Ellington Nixon-Marinoni, who Christine gave birth to in February 2011. Cynthia has two other children with photographer Danny Mozes.
In January, Cynthia sparked controversy by saying she was gay "by choice".
"I understand that for many people it's not, but for me it's a choice, and you don't get to define my gayness for me," she told the New York Times.
