Touring Canadian band Simple Plan have been forced to cancel a gig in Sydney on Tuesday on doctor's orders.
Pierre Bouvier, the lead singer for the pop punk five-piece, has been ordered to rest his voice, forcing them to pull out of their intimate gig for 300 fans at The Standard for the Take 40 Live Lounge.
But fans who were expecting to see the band can still rock up to the gig, with the Bouvier's bandmates vowing to still show up, if not play.
"We're very sorry to all the fans who were coming to see us play tonight, we encourage ticket holders to still come down and hang out with Chuck, Jeff, David and Seb at the Standard, from 6.30pm," the band said in a statement.
MCM media assures ticket holders they will be entitled to a full refund.
Simple Plan tour nationally until June 17.
