Nineteen-year-old pop starlet Miley Cyrus has said she is "looking forward to a life of happiness" after announcing her engagement to Australian Hunger Games actor Liam Hemsworth.
Cyrus thanked her Twitter followers for their support after revealing she was getting married in People magazine.
"I'm happy to share this news with you all," she tweeted several hours ago.
"I feel like all my dreams are coming true."
Cyrus met Hemsworth, 22, on the set of The Last Song in 2009 and romance soon blossomed.
The tumultuous relationship has already seen the couple split twice, for a month in August 2010 and again in November before reconciling.
Her Neil Lane-designed 3.5-carat diamond engagement ring was only finished last week in time for Hemsworth to pop the question on May 31.
The 18-carat gold ring's centre stone was cut in about 1880 or 1890.
Hemsworth's older brother Chris has also found fame in the films Thor and The Avengers.
