Pop star Chris Brown has tweeted a picture of a deep cut on his chin that he alleges was caused when a bottle was thrown at him during a fight at a New York nightclub.
Brown was at the WIP night club with his entourage at around 4am on Thursday when a verbal stoush with fellow singer Drake escalated into an all-in brawl that saw glass bottles thrown and tables overturned, TMZ reports.
The men and their followers were reportedly drinking in the VIP section of the club when Drake began pointing and yelling at Brown, who returned the insults.
There are reports the singers were fighting over Rihanna, who used to date Brown and who is rumoured to have hooked up with Drake.
The standoff heated up when some of the rivals began pushing each other and a bottle was allegedly thrown sparking a melee.
Security guards rushed to break up the fight that resulted in five men from both sides receiving cuts and bruises.
Police arrived at the scene after receiving a call between 4am and 5am but the singers had already left the club.
No arrests were made.
After the fight Brown tweeted a photo of the cut on his lip with the caption "How u party wit rich n----- that hate? Lol... Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya!."
The tweet has since been deleted.
