doesn't think an "old Joey" would be a hit with die-hard Friends
The actor has ruled out a Friends reunion, saying a modern-day version of the hit 1990s sitcom would "disappoint" the show's devotees.
"That show was about a finite period of time," the 44-year-old told Entertainment Weekly.
"Before you got married and went off to start your life with a family. It was that magical time that everyone can relate to. To see what we're all doing now … I'd rather imagine that."
"Everyone's going to have different visions of what those characters are like, so to have that materialise is going to disappoint people," he said.
But Matt's hesitance to return to the small screen as Joey isn't all about the fans. There are grey hair woes as well.
"I don't want to see old Joey," Matt told the mag.
Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow have also vetoed a Friends reunion, so it looks like fans will have no choice but to watch their DVD box sets again … and again … and again.
Let it be: Matt LeBlanc won't return to the small screen for a Friends reunion
