Kim Kardashian has admitted her sex tape helped launch her career.
A raunchy clip of the reality TV star with her then boyfriend Ray-J was leaked in 2007 and Kardashian told Oprah Winfrey she is still embarrassed about it.
The 31-year-old told Winfrey the clip introduced her to the world of reality stardom.
''It was a negative way, so I feel like I had to work ten times harder to get people to see the real me,'' Kardashian said.
She said she felt ''humiliated'' when the video went public and that she was not sure how she would have coped talking to her late father about it had he still been alive.
She said her recent 72-day marriage had nothing to do with publicity.
''We don't do anything for ratings. I think anyone who knows me knows that I fall in love hard,'' she said. ''I would have had a big wedding regardless of who I am.
''Once we moved in, I knew that he was not the one,” she said.
