US rapper 50 Cent was hospitalised with neck injuries after a truck smashed into the back of his bulletproof SUV on a New York expressway late Monday night.
Photos on the entertainer's website Thisis50.com showed him on a trolley with a neck brace.
"50 cent was in a bad accident tonight as his bulletproof SUV was rear ended by a Mack truck on the LIE in NYC," a spokesman said.
"He was put on a stretcher and taken to the nearest Queens hospital where they are currently running tests on his neck and back.
"His driver is also currently in the hospital as the SUV almost flipped over."
50 Cent and his driver have since been released from hospital.
