Long-time soapie star Ryan Moloney is considering a big career change.
The 32-year-old, who has played Jarrod 'Toadfish' Rebecchi for more than a decade on the Aussie soap opera, wants to become a commercial airline pilot.
Speaking on UK breakfast show This Morning, Ryan revealed, "I do have my pilot's licence, I'm going for my commercial licence now."
Asked whether he plans to give up acting to follow his dream of flying, he replied, "Yeah, eventually. That's the aim. Yeah, I wanted to be a pilot beforehand."
He continued, "Look, Neighbours is one of those jobs, it's one of the best jobs in the world. I turn up, I muck around and I have a great time. I work with awesome people … I don't want to be anywhere else at the moment.
"In terms of the flying, it's just one of those things that's going to chip away and then when the time's right, I'm going to be ready."
Asked how long it will be before he takes to the skies, he replied: "Probably about another year and a half before I'm qualified for commercial."
