And here we were thinking Jersey Shore
couldn't get any more glamorous ...
Veteran entertainment journalist-turned-author, Seth Kaufman has dished the dirt on the cast's contracts, which allegedly feature a clause that releases the producers and MTV of any responsibility for the sexually transmitted infections they may catch during filming.
To quote Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi, "That's not classy!"
Kauffman, the former editorial director of TVGuide.com, was passed a copy of the contract "from someone close to the show".
"What I'm told is that it's pretty standard for reality shows," he tells Daily News America.
In a section titled 'Health of Other Participants', the contract not only warns the cast, which includes Jennifer (JWoww) Farley and Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino, that other participants "have not been screened for any diseases, sicknesses or other health conditions (and specifically have not been tested for any sexually transmitted diseases)", but it also forces them to "assume all risks of interacting with the other participants, including any consensual contact".
