A teenage girl who copped the brunt of a verbal outburst by a One Direction member has apologised to the star.

Alannah Gough, 15, spoke out after video of Niall Horan's remark became viral, the Sun newspaper reports.

The teenager, from Coolock near Dublin, was waiting at Dublin airport with her sister and five friends earlier this week when Niall, 18, called them a "shower of c----".

While Niall made his own apology yesterday saying he was "really sorry if I caused any offence", Alannah spoke out in support of the teenage heartthrob.

"We're so sorry for getting you in trouble," she said.

"Thanks for stopping to talk to us, we love you.

"And if you want to give us back stage passes, it's okay with us."

Alannah posted the original video on YouTube where it got more than 80,000 hits in three days.
