Pete Doherty was thrown out of a rehabilitation clinic in Thailand for disrupting the other patients' treatment.
The troubled rocker is already en route back to the UK.
The Libertines frontman checked himself into Chiang Mai's secluded jungle clinic The Cabin three weeks ago in an attempt to finally kick his heroin and crack cocaine addictions.
But Kate Moss' former boyfriend was forced to leave halfway through his treatment course after negatively affecting the other patients.
Programme director Alastair Mordey said the 33-year-old was discharged "for therapeutic reasons".
It's not the first time Doherty has tried to clean up his act – he has a long history of addiction and has in and out of rehab numerous times.
Last year the troubled star was sentenced to six months in prison for cocaine possession.
