Kiwi singers Gin Wigmore and Kimbra are in the running for a 2012 MTV EMA award.
The pair both received nominations in the ‘Worldwide Act’ category of the awards, which celebrate the biggest musical artists from all over the globe.

And they are in prestigious company – pop princess Rihanna is up for six awards at the event and Taylor Swift has five nominations.
Justin Bieber and Katy Perry have each scored four EMA nominations and other acts up for awards include Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, One Direction and Lana Del Rey.
Gin Wigmore and Kimbra are up against Australian acts Gotye, Temper Trap and 360 in the Australia/New Zealand category. Fans can vote for their favourite artists and the category winner will go on to compete for the Asia/Pacific title and the chance to take out the ‘Worldwide Act’ distinction.
The 2012 MTV EMA awards will broadcast live on Monday, 12 November from Frankfurt's historic Festhalle.
