Rumours are circulating over who will host a New Zealand version of Simon Cowell's X Factor, but an insider at TV3 says Dominic Bowden has been given the gig.
Co-executive producer Andrew Szusterman told media a contract had been signed with a presenter, but did not reveal who.
A source told the New Zealand Herald he had always been first choice.
"He's working with Britney Spears right now on the American X Factor. It's a no-brainer."
Since moving to Los Angeles, the occasional TVNZ correspondent has found employment on the American X Factor, working on the production side.
Bowden has previously presented The Next Great American Band, Are You Smarter than a 10 Year Old? and New Zealand Idol.
TV3 recently announced X Factor NZ would premiere next year.
