13:00 Mon Dec 10 2012
After the fifteen-second snippet audio teaser debuted a couple weeks back, fans were left wanting. However, HBO has finally seen fit to unleash the Game of Thrones season three floodgates.

A true making-of promo for Game of Thrones' third season has been released. For die-hard fans, it promises a season packed with "more danger and more risk", according to actress Emilia Clarke who plays the Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen.

Check out a sneak peek above for a taste of things to come next season.

"This is the season that Dan [Weiss] and I have been anticipating from the very beginning," says series executive producer, writer and director David Benioff.

The slow build appears to be finally paying off, with season three promising plenty of action.

Executive producer Dan "DB" Weiss agrees: "If we could make it to season three and do season three right, then it would be all worthwhile".

Game of Thrones season three premieres in the US on March 31, 2013. At this stage, there hasn't been a New Zealand release date announcement.
