R-Pattz's toned tummy in his upcoming flick Cosmopolis.

He may be a Twilight sex symbol, but that doesn't make Robert Pattinson immune from body image issues.

The 25-year-old Brit is reportedly "upset" after photos of him paddleboarding in his bathers were published recently.

According to an US Weekly insider, R-Pattz is "really insecure about his shirt being off". This is the guy who got spray-on abs for New Moon, after all!

The source also claimed Rob is stressed about smoking too much, and "he's trying to cut back".

When Breaking Dawn — Part 1 hit cinemas last year, Rob admitted that filming the movie's infamously unsexy sex scene pressured him to get in shape.

"I had never been so worried about that before, but after seeing how much Taylor [Lautner] works out for the movies, I thought, 'Well, everybody is really going to judge me now,'" he told Mexico's 15a20 magazine. "I always tried to think about positions where I could tense the muscles, and suck in my belly."

But R-Pattz kicked into gear for the final film in the series, out November.

"So in this movie, I thought, 'OK, it's the last one, I'm getting a six pack', and I tried, but it's very hard," he said. "I worked out so hard for six months, so after filming the sex scene, the first thing I thought was, 'Time to eat!'"

If he's worried about his figure, maybe he should try the Edward Cullen diet and just drink blood?
