Britney's fiancé granted joint legal control of her career, finances and private life

A judge gave Jamie conservatorship over the singer after her meltdown in 2008, and now Jason has been looped in on the agreement ahead of his marriage to the star.

The legal arrangement gives the two men in Britney's life the right to decide when and where she works, how she spends her money and even what medication she takes, what she eats and how she styles her hair.

Britney, 30, and her former manager Jason, 40, were engaged in December last year. This new legal move could mean that they're set to marry any day now.

"This is a very unusual situation, because generally you don't see conservatees get married," attorney Jeffrey S. Cohen, who is not involved in the case, told People magazine.

This could be a sign that the couple's wedding is around the corner," he added.

"This is probably a compromise between Britney, her father and Trawick to get the marriage off on the right foot."

"Obviously, her future husband needs to have a say in her wellbeing."

But the idea of Britney's father and husband controlling her life has many people concerned she's being treated like "property".

As a blogger on Celebitchy writes, "Either Britney is competent enough to decide to marry Jason Trawick or she's not. Either Britney has legal rights as a wife, or she doesn't and she'll end up married to a man who has legal control over her medication, her day-to-day finances (like, grocery shopping), her living arrangements and her diet.

This in-between, married-to-a-caretaker thing is a disaster waiting to happen."
