Male stripper gives Channing Tatum's Magic Mike moves a thumgs-up!

Move over, Ryan Gosling — it's Channing Tatum's turn to take over the title of Most Frequently Shirtless Piece of Male Hotness on Film.

Tatum is sex on legs as a male stripper alongside Matthew McConaughey and Alex Pettyfer in the newly released trailer for Magic Mike, a drama based on Tatum's own real-life experience before he hit the big time in Hollywood.

He's pulling all the right moves, according to New York stripping great "Steve Savage" (real name Steve Stanulis, but who could argue with "Savage"?). He told MTV that Tatum and his co-stars are "totally believable as dancers".

"The bachelorette party, the whole thing is totally legit," Savage said. "I mean, with the guys coming in as cops and the girls, like, getting all nervous. So that's pretty authentic. It looks pretty good."

Another pearl of wisdom from Savage: "I also like the fact that [Tatum's character is] talking about being an entrepreneur because all these guys, well most of these guys, are not just strippers, they're doing other things."

Tatum plays veteran dancer Mike, whose real dream is to design furniture. From rock-hard abs to rock-hard mahogany bench tops!

Racy subject matter aside, Magic Mike should cast a spell thanks to acclaimed Contagion director Steven Soderbergh. It's out July 26.
