Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbender lead the way in must-see Prometheus trailer

If you're not counting down the days till Prometheus yet, the latest trailer for the epic new Ridley Scott Alien "sort-of-prequel" will have you positively dying to see it.

MovieFIX has your first look at the third trailer for the year's biggest sci-fi blockbuster.

The three-minute-long clip unveils more secrets about the mysterious alien world that may hold the key to the beginning — and end — of humankind.

Here are some things to look out for in the trailer:

• Incredible special effects including one of the coolest spaceships we've seen on screen (think Star Wars-meets-Avengers).

• Our first peek at a gooey, snake-like fanged alien. Yuck.

• Charlize Theron dressed for a futuristic board meeting in a body-hugging grey pantsuit, doing her menacing best as a corporation representative overseeing the mission.

• Michael Fassbender as android David. After playing Magneto in X-Men: First Class, The Fass is our new favourite sci-fi hero/anti-hero.

• The all-hell-breaks-loose pandemonium that amps up in the last minute. As Scott's 1979 Alien tagline read: "in space, no-one can hear you scream".

Conclusion: Prometheus will be huge. It's out June 7 in 2D and 3D.
