Dannii Minogue won't be returning to music

She may have launched herself back into the spotlight as a judge on Australia's Got Talent but Dannii Minogue has no plans to resume her singing career, choosing to focus her time raising her two-year-old son Ethan.

The 40-year-old 'This is It' singer has stressed that a return to music would mean less time to raise her young child.

"The music takes you on a different trip. You can't do everything. You choose a couple of important things and the rest is mum time," Dannii told Australia's The Daily Telegraph. "I guess my world is about making time for being a mum and not missing out on special time with Ethan. Every week there are new things. He is changing every day."

Dannii started her singing career in 1990, releasing five studio albums. Her last single 'Touch Me Like That' was released in 2007.

Although still committed to Australia's Got Talent, Dannii says her role in the show still affords her lots of time with her bub.

"I work one day a week on Australia's Got Talent. I've got a couple of extra things with this and some interviews and that's it. The rest is doing the crèche run and looking after Ethan," she said.

Dannii recently split with the father of her child, Kris Smith.
