Even Posh thinks she looks miserable all the time

Victoria Beckham smiling is almost as rare as Halley's Comet — and she'd be the first to admit it.

The 38-year-old Spice Girl-turned-designer is well aware of her sourpuss image, but insists she's not nearly as unhappy as she looks in most public appearances and photographs.

"'Yes, I created this persona and I'm very different from that," she told German Interview magazine. "I don't feel like I have to scream and shout about it — I know I am a happy person. So I don't get upset when people comment on the fact that I look quite miserable all the time."

"But people think I am. And you know, sometimes I think the same thing when I look at the pictures."

Sigh. Being married to David Beckham with four cute kids and a bulging bank account would really suck.

But you've got to admire Posh's frankness when asked about leaving music behind for a career in fashion.

"Was music my talent really? No, I don't think I was particularly talented," she said. "With the other girls, the five of us all really worked together. But talented? I sound a bit odd to myself."

Meanwhile, Becks revealed to UK Elle magazine this week that after 13 years of marriage, he and Posh still "try to go out at least once a week, just the two of us, a quiet dinner somewhere".
