Disney brings back '80s video game villains in Wreck-It Ralph trailer

Ever wondered where '80s and '90s video-game baddies ended up after their careers dried out?

Bad Guys Anonymous meetings ("Bad-Anon"), according to the first trailer for Disney's next computer-animated 3D hit, Wreck-It Ralph.

From Pac-Man's Clyde to Street Fighter's Zangief and M. Bison to Super Mario Bros.' Bowser, Wreck-It Ralph sends up the villains a generation grew up playing on arcade games, Game Boys, Segas and the like.

But it's not all nostalgia. The story revolves around the new character of the film's title, voiced by John C. Reilly, a bad-guy "in a classic game who longs to be a hero" like his game's Fix-It Felix (Jack McBrayer).

So, he hops out of his arcade into a first-person shooter game where he comes up against the nasty Sergeant Calhoun (a hilariously animated Jane Lynch from Glee).

Directed by Rich Moore, who has helmed episodes of The Simpsons and Futurama, this is sure to be a reference-packed romp for both adults and kids.

Wreck-it Ralph is out on Boxing Day.
