Tom Cruise cancels 50th birthday plans to be with his Isabella and Connor, what about Suri?

Tom Cruise's 50th birthday plans were left in tatters as his impending divorce from Katie Holmes put a dampener on celebrations.

The actor had organised to spend his quarter century with Katie and daughter Suri in New York, but ended up hanging out in LA with his adopted kids, Connor and Isabella, from his previous marriage to Nicole Kidman.

According to the Daily Mail, the newly separated star had a "very, very sad" and "quiet" day as he mourned Katie's decision to end their six-year marriage.

TMZ reports that Katie has filed for emergency custody of the six-year-old, leaving Tom "really bitter" towards his soon-to-be ex-wife.

Now that the 33-year-old is making it hard for Tom to see Suri, Tom is said to be phoning his daughter "several times a day."

Meanwhile, the actor's son Connor tweeted support for his dad on his 50th, saying: "#La Familia always. Friends come and go, but family is forever."

While Katie's decision to file for divorce may have come as a shock to Tom, an interview the actress did for an upcoming issue of US Elle magazine hinted she had been planning the move for a good six weeks.

Katie told the mag in mid-May, "I'm starting to come into my own. It's like a new phase."

When asked about life as "Mrs Tom Cruise", Katie said, "He has been Tom Cruise for 30 years. I know who I am and where I am and where I want to go, so I want to focus on that."

All the money in the world and look at his face he is still miserable.

There is more to life than just being in the moment. You have a future and your past, learn from them. Don't get angry don't even get even, get on with life and think about the reasons behind your actions. You have children because you love them you have the job that you are good at because you love what you are doing. You had a wife because you also loved her too. I think step out of your comfort zone, protect what is yours, but not to the extent that the people you love cannot make reasonable choices of their own. We are only human and on this earth to make mistakes that we can hopefully learn from just like you. You are not a bad person just along the way you made some complicated choices and you believed thay were the right ones. Thats ok! chin up and the best of luck luck..
