Dannii Minogue's ex Kris Smith 'dating' blonde bombshell

Moving on after his split with Dannii Minogue in April, footballer-turned-model Kris Smith is apparently dating 33-year-old blonde British model and former Miss Manchester Sara Beverley Jones.

That's if you choose to believe a source who spilled the beans about the pair to UK tabloid The Mirror.

"Kris has known Sara a long time and they have quite a few mutual friends. But recently they've grown much closer," the source said.

"She’s a really stunning girl and he's a good-looking guy, so perhaps it's not that surprising. It's early days, but they're very much into each other."

An onlooker at a pub where the pair were having lunch claimed they were "clearly close – they spent ages giggling flirtatiously".

"They were very tactile, and they look great together," the onlooker continued.

Kris has not commented on the rumour, but Sara appears to have responded on Twitter.

"Can I just say, don't believe everything you read," she wrote today. "Secondly I am not a glamour model, and thirdly what a horrid picture!"

Sara, a two-time Miss England finalist, appeared as a "flirty thirty" contestant on British reality dating show Take Me Out earlier in the year. She is also a regular on the men's mag circuit, having modelled for such titles as Zoo, Nuts and The Daily Sport.

Kris, 34, reunited with Dannii in Melbourne for their child Ethan's second birthday in early July.

"It was so good to get back and see Ethan," he told the Herald Sun.

Rumours emerged that the exes may have been trying to "work on their relationship", a friend told Daily Mail.

Dannii pulled out of The X Factor UK in May. The 40-year-old Australia's Got Talent judge has not confirmed yet whether she will take up another offer to appear as a contestant on the UK's version of Dancing with the Stars, Strictly Come Dancing.
