Rihanna send 'funny, sexy' texts to Robert Pattinson

"She got Rob's number from a mutual friend and has been sending him sexy, funny texts to cheer him up," a friend of the singer told OK! magazine.

But are RiRi's advances all a bit much, a little too soon?

According to the friend, Rob thought he was being had on — until the singer managed to convince him otherwise.

"Rob thought someone Punk'd him. Eventually Rihanna convinced him she was for real, but Rob has been resisting her," revealed the friend.

Resisting Rihanna? Is that even possible?

The two have reportedly met a few times at awards ceremonies over the years, with Rihanna said to think the Cosmopolis star is "cute".

"Nothing ever came of it because he was attached to Kristen — and it's not her style to steal someone else's man," said the pal.

But now Rob's single (and vulnerable), could things get heated between the unlikely couple?

"Rihanna would love to meet up with him," revealed the friend.

"Rob's friends keep telling him he has to start enjoying life again. What better person to help cheer him up than Rihanna?"

Fair point. Rihanna certainly enjoys the good life with regular trips to her homeland Barbados. And Ri-pattz has a certain ring to it!

The singer might face some competition from Katy Perry, though. Rob and his long-time friend were spotted dining out together a couple of nights ago — with the actor reportedly very impressed by the singer's ample chest!
