Justin Bieber starts his own rumour he's up for Fifty Shades of Grey role

In news that will either shatter the fantasies of Fifty Shades of Grey fans or see an uptake in underage readers buying the erotic EL James novel, Justin Bieber has unintentionally started a rumour he'll be in the film adaptation.

"They actually want me to be in the movie," Justin revealed on The Jonathan Ross Show with a relatively straight face.

Fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that a second later, the 18-year-old pop star shook his head at the crowd laughing, appearing to say: "Just kidding, just kidding". Or is he? Watch the snippet from the interview above.

The live studio audience apparently had to be calmed down after Justin's Fifty Shades comment. But online, Beliebers and Grey fans alike tweeted their opinions about the mere thought of the baby-faced 'As Long As You Love Me' singer playing kinky 27-year-old billionaire Christian Grey.

"YES. @justinbieber, can you please be in Fifty Shades of Grey?!?!" the "Justin Bieber Army" posted.

"He'll be one of the girls or something," a girl from the "IAbuseBeliebers" page wrote.

"You know what's more mockable than Justin Bieber being offered a role in Fifty Shades of Grey? Having read Fifty Shades of Grey," another user tweeted.

Ryan Gosling, Ian Somerhalder and Henry Cavill are the favourites for the role of Christian among Fifty fans, but no casting news has been announced for the Universal Pictures and Focus Pictures film yet.
