Kiwi comedy Two Little Boys opens

Two Little Boys

New Zealand-made film Two Little Boys opens in cinemas around the nation today.

The film stars Flight of the Conchords favourite Bret McKenzie as Nige and Australian comedian Hamish Blake as Deano.

The black comedy flick is a story about mates and the lengths they will go to in the name of friendship.

Blake previously told TV ONE's Breakfast that he and McKenzie play two friends "who are essentially breaking up, for want of a better term, in this friendship".

The movie has received glowing reviews since its red carpet premiere in Invercargill last week.

The film is based on the 2008 novel of the same name by Duncan Sarkies and is directed by Robert Sarkies.
