90s pop star Fiona Apple busted for drugs

Busted for drugs: Guess the 90s pop star in this scary mug shot
Splash
Fiona Apple, the singer behind the 1996 hit 'Criminal', spent a night behind bars after she was arrested for drug possession at a Texan border stop on Wednesday.

Sniffer dogs found hash and cannabis on board Apple's tour bus during a routine search. The 35-year-old was arrested after she "freely admitted" the drugs were hers, cops told TMZ.

After posing for the mug shot she was born to pose for, Apple was released from jail on $10,000 bond yesterday morning.

Remember her rambling speech at the 1997 MTV Awards? We reckon she might have had similar things on board her tour bus back then, don't you?

What terrible reporting even if it is clutching-at-straws celebrity sensationalism! "90s pop star"??? Have you guys even listened to ANY of Fiona Apple's music, especially since "the 90s"? She's producing some of her best music ever today and that voice - "pop" "stars" today should be so lucky to have a voice like that! No wonder such well-established and respected artists want to sing duets with her or have her sing their songs. And as for the "drugs" she was carrying - hash & cannabis - ooooo so deadly and such a criminal. Come on, if it was anything like the harder chemical concoctions that most leeching corporate music industry flakes partake in we could maybe start to understand making a big deal but this is just a pathetic attempt to slur an obviously gifted musician and a beautiful person because she is an "individual" simply doing what creative individuals do. Tall poppy syndrome much?
