Jake Gyllenhaal wants 'Fifty Shades of Grey' role

Jake Gyllenhaal is the latest Hollywood hunk to be linked to the film adaptation of Fifty Shades Of Grey.

The star is reportedly at the top of the producer's hit list and has revealed he finds the rumours "flattering".

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Jake revealed he would accept the role if it came up, "Yeah, of course. That's super flattering. If that's true then that’s a nice thing. I always want to work, man."

Casting for the film adaption of the erotic novel by EL James is an increasingly hot topic. Ryan Gosling, Joe Manganiello and Alexander Skarsgård have also been rumered to play Christian Grey.

sorry but I dont see Jake Gyllenhaal playing the part of Christian Grey, it would bring great dissappointment, the fact of the matter is this is a really big role and an interesting character, I have pictured in my head someone slender and tall, yet masculine, and also a boyish yet adult looking male figure, I would also prefer it it were an up and coming actor or someone whom many are not familiar with, I hope that in the end, with all the many guesses of who may ultimately play the wonderful role of Christian Grey, my hopes is that we all get it wrong, and that the pick to play the role is the right pick. I prefer a little surprise, I want this movie to sweep me off my feet and wisk me away!

i think jake will be great at the role, but so are the other actors. i guess its a race to get the role. good luck to all actors. =)
