Fall Out Boy reunite for rock'n'roll, come to NZ

After a three-year hiatus, US punk-rock band Fall Out Boy are back on the scene.

The foursome will be heading to Auckland for a one-off show at the Powerstation, Eden Terrace on 29 March.

The band has been busy writing and recording new material to feature on their fifth album, Save Rock and Roll.

Led by bassist Pete Wentz and fronted by Patrick Stump, the group unofficially split in 2009 after releasing their greatest hits album.

It looks as though the band have turned over a new leaf, with Wentz committed to making "some music that matters to us".

They released new music last month with a heartfelt message, "When we were kids the only thing that got us through most days was music. It's why we started Fall Out Boy in the first place. This isn't a reunion because we never broke up. We needed to plug back in and make some music that matters to us. The future of Fall Out Boy starts now. Save rock and roll...".

Fall Out Boy are heading our way ahead of the release of their latest album Save Rock and Roll, which comes out in New Zealand on 15th April.

Fall Out Boy tickets are available through Ticketmaster.
