Zach Braff monkeys around in Oz The Great and Powerful

Oz The Great and Powerful is one of the most highly anticipated films of the year. Bold and visually enticing, the film’s director Sam Raimi offers a magical and cinematic treat.

Zach Braff gets the best of both worlds in Oz playing a dual role as Frank and Finley the CGI monkey. MSN’s Magda Cortez caught up with the former Scrubs star to chat about his adventures during the filming of Oz and what it was like to star alongside Hollywood’s hottest actors, James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams.

Fans of L. Frank Baum, the author of the 1900 classic The Wonderful Wizard of Oz will be delighted by this imaginative story that tells the untold tale about the mysterious wizard. Franco stars as Oscar Diggs, a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics who finds himself hurled from dusty Kansas to the whimsical Land of Oz. It is here when he meets three witches, Theodora (Kunis) Evanora (Weisz) and Glinda (Williams) who are not convinced that he is the great wizard everyone's been expecting.

Watch the interview above to find out how Zach Braff became involved with the film and what it was like to play an animated character.

Brace yourself for an adventure — Oz The Great and Powerful will be released 8 March 2013.
