Christian Bale: the truth about the 'assault'

Batman's mum and sis, aka Jenny and Sharron Bale, said "OK, there was an incident but the police are dealing with it. It is an extremely sensitive situation. There is nothing more I can say."

They allege that the 'incident' took place on Sunday at the swish hotel where Xtian was staying before the Dark Knight London premiere the next day (around the same time Peaches Geldof was overdosing!)

"Yes I was there and yes there was a family situation but the police are handling it and I cannot say anymore at the moment," said Batmum. "We didn't call the police to the scene. I can't say anymore but we didn't call the police."

How did the cops know if you didn't call them? The story goes that they actually visited a cop shop in person to make their allegations. Do you smell a rat?

Team Christian's statement reads: "Christian Bale attended a London Police station today, on a voluntary basis, in order to assist with an allegation that had been made against him to the police by his mother and sister.

Mr Bale who denies the allegation, co-operated throughout, gave his account in full of the events in question, and has left the station without any charge being made against him by the Police.

At this time, there will be no further comment by Mr Bale."

Christian hasn't lived with his mum and sister since he was 17, moving from Wales to LA to be with his dad, who was an animal/environmental activist (he passed away in 2003).

Batmum has always claimed she has a close relationship with her son anyway, despite him returning to Wales just once since he first moved.

Could the Bat-fam be looking to rain on their son's parade at the height of his fame? A report has pointed out that Christian could have been arrested for verbal assault too.

We just hope Christian didn't lay a hand on his fam! How can he be our future husband if he's a mum-basher?
