Sarah Murdoch goes without Photoshop

"I think when I'm retouched in photographs it's worse, because when people see me in real life, they go, 'Oh, God, isn't she old?," she tells the magazine.

"It makes me mad that we can't embrace the beauty of ageing, because we're all going to do it."

Sarah appears on the cover of Women's Weekly wearing makeup, but without any retouching or airbrushing done to alter her image.

While this is how every cover of the women's mag would have looked in the days before Photoshop, editor Helen McCabe admits, "It's certainly not been done in any recent history of the Weekly."

But when asked if the magazine would continue to forego airbrushing in the future, she says, "I can't possibly commit to that, I'm a realist ... It's a very competitive industry and I'm at this stage just taking a little baby step and seeing how this goes for now."

Well, we reckon she looks fab.
