We must admit we thought the Justin Bieber has a tattoo' rumour was just that — a rumour. What clean cut 16-year-old boy who hasn't even hit puberty yet has a tatt?

Turns out the Beeb's more hardcore than we thought!

The tween heartthrob was photographed a few weeks ago in Sydney with what looked like a small bird tattoo on his hip — and guess what, it's not a rub-on!

Here's the photographic proof that the Beeb really did visit a tattoo parlour in Toronto, Canada, shortly before coming to Oz.

But don't you have to have your parent's permission to get a tatt if you're under 18? Justin's dad must be a pretty cool guy — Jeremy Bieber signed the permission forms and stood by to watch his son get inked for the very first time.

The bird is a Bieber family tradition — many members of the family have the same tattoo.

Now watch out, because half the teenage population world is going to want the Bieber bird tattoo... if their parents will let them.

Why does everyone hate him?? He hasn't affended any1 has he?? so he can sing better than most of you! doesnt mean u have to get so wound up and jelous. and so what if he likes to hang out wid celebrities??Whats wrong with that? and as for the tattoo, ITS A FAMILY TRADITION!! i got a tat of a dove on my sholder because uit was a family tradition!! i dont love him but i just think he has as much right to prance around a stage and get tattoos as every1 else in this world. get ur own life and stop gawking at his!!!

I my first tatoo at sixteen, too. I don't see what the big deal is.

thats not a tattoo. thats an outline. that also barely resembles a bird. i find it so hard to believe that this "guy" has "fans". i dont understand the hype. whats the difference between beiber, and Lady Gaga, musically, i mean? not much. except Gaga has more talent. hes 16. he thinks he's the man for having a tattoo. hes not. nor is he attractive. nor does he have any skill, or any ability to make, write or produce his own music.

Are you kidding me? This guy is seriously like 16 and gone and got a tattoo. Wouldn't he get taller anyway screwing up the shape of the bird? He's quite an idiot. And in my opinion, that is not a tattoo. Thats just tooooo small to be a tattoo. Does that make hima wimp? Ha I think so. I am literally just straining my eyes to see it.
