Shrek a box office hit, bigger than SATC2

.

Seems nothing can stop Hollywood's green ogre — not even Russell Brand or Sarah Jessica Parker.

Shrek Forever After has topped the US box office for the third weekend in a row, despite coming up against Brand's new comedy Get Him to the Greek, Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl's action-comedy Killers and the behemoth sequel Sex and the City 2.

To date, the fourth Shrek movie has made US$222,937,000 (NZD$314 million).
