Golden Girls's Betty White wants to do it with Robert Redford

Well at least she's going for someone her own age! Kind of...

Eighty-year-old Golden Girls star Betty White was quizzed on who she'd like to sleep with the most — and besides her late husband, her bedmate of choice was none other than 74-year-old heartthrob Robert Redford.

"Does desire melt away with age? I'm waiting for that day to come," she told AARP magazine.

"Sexual desire is like aging," she said, pointing at her head. "A lot of it is up here."

Betty offered insights into her two marriages — the first, to pilot Dick Barker ("I married my first husband because we wanted to sleep together. It lasted six months and we were in bed for six months") and her second, to TV host Allen Ludden.

"He bought me a beautiful ring and I threw it back at him," she said, "so he wore it on a chain around his neck. He said, 'I'm going to wear it until you put it on your finger.' "

Betty finally married him in 1963, and stayed together until his death from bladder cancer in 1981.

"The secret to our marriage was enthusiasm," she says. "When I knew Allen was coming home, I would freshen my makeup and put on a new blouse."

Betty reckons that if Allen was still around today, they'd definitely still be sleeping together.

"I don't have a fella," she says, "but if Allen — or Robert Redford — were around, we'd have a very active sex life."
