Glee's Chord Overstreet releases first song

We know Chord Overstreet can belt out a decent tune thanks to his role as Sam on Glee. But can he cut it as a pop star?

Chord 'took a break' from the hit series this year and recorded a stack of music before his return - and 'Beautiful Girl' is the first song to leak from his forthcoming album scheduled for next year.

"I got a lot of great stuff done [during the break], and I'm really excited about how the finished album is going to sound," Chord said. "I think I'll be ready to release an album around next year."

It's certainly in his genes - Chord's dad is country singer-songwriter Paul Overstreet, and big bro Nash Overstreet plays guitar in Hot Chelle Rae.
