Scribe
Kiwi rapper Scribe's song 'Not Many' will be played today by mourning Cantabrians who are remembering those lost one year ago in the devastating magnitude 6.3 quake.

The February 22, 2011 the Christchurch quake claimed 185 lives.

The idea behind the single when it was released was to celebrate the strength, courage, pride and the incredible spirit of the people.

The lyrics of the song "How many cities you know that roll like this… not many… if any," acknowledges the terrible events of the last year.

Hundreds of people, including about 300 family members of quake victims, turned out this morning to remember their lost loved ones at a service in Christchurch's Latimer Square.

The Latimer Square service focused on the quake victims' families

A civic memorial service at Hagley Park followed at noon.

The special release of 'Not Many' is available for purchase on Amplifier.co.nz with all proceeds going to Plunket.

A video featuring local Cantabrians, including Mayor Bob Parker, can also be viewed here.
