Frances Bean Cobain's 'harrowing' life with mum, Courtney Love

In a statement to the court obtained by an 'addiction and recovery' website, Frances recalls a drug-fuelled night at Courtney's ex-boyfriend's house, and the details aren't pretty.

"She took me in a taxi to his (James Barber's) house in the middle of the night, and from outside the house, in her bare feet, she screamed at him, threw rocks at the house, and threatened to burn his house down," Frances told the court. The papers also reveal details about Frances' everyday home life with her now 47-year-old, 'sober' mother. "[Courtney] has taken drugs for as long as I can remember. She basically exists now on…Xanax, Adderall, Sonata and Abilify, sugar and cigarettes," the now 19-year-old said of her mum

"She rarely eats… She often falls asleep in her bed while she is smoking, and I am constantly worried that she will start a fire (which she has done three times) that will threaten our lives."

Arguably, Frances' most disturbing claim is that Courtney threatened to jump off a balcony in front of her daughter.

Or maybe it's the admission that Courtney's hoarding and drug use killed two family pets. According to Frances, their cat died after getting tangled in piles of trash, and a family dog was killed after swallowing Courtney's pills.
