While the rest of the world gossiped about a royal baby, last November Duchess Kate Middleton and Prince William were busy reeling from an emergency airplane scare.

According to breaking reports, Kate and Wills were left 'terrified' when a November 2 British airways flight they were on from Denmark to London, pulled a rather scary maneuver coming into Heathrow airport.

The Duke and Duchess were travelling from Denmark to London when their plane had to make an emergency steep climb back into the air just 200 feet from landing — due to another aircraft on the runway.

UK tabloid People was the first to report the incident, with a British Airways official describing the pilot's response as "a standard operation."

Despite the official claiming "customers left the plane as normal," a source told People that Kate was left "deeply unsettled", adding: "This was a serious incident and would have been terrifying for those on board."

What made headlines during the couple's trip (to visit a United Nations facility) instead, was Kate's refusal to sample a bit of peanut paste. At the time, her actions sparked rumours she was expecting a bub.
